Felecia
Jones-Sheffield
Originally from Virginia Beach, Va. I have been in Delaware for
just over a year and a half. I have been a tennis fan for many years
and have recently began to play recreationally. Luckily I stumbled
up the WTCNCC website surfing the net and I enjoy being a member
of the club and meeting other tennis fanatics. I work for Avon as
a Team Leader in their Newark Customer Care office. I am attending
Delaware State University working on my Masters in Teaching and
will be eventually teaching English to high school students. Though
I have no kids of my own I am the very proud aunt of a beautiful
one year old niece.
Advisor
Connie
Krumm
Connie has been actively involved with tennis for the last 15 years or so starting
with coordinating the junior tennis program at the Silverside Swim Club. She
co-chaired the Tour des Courts charity event for two years and she is just finishing
her term as the Chair of the Women’s Tennis Association of the duPont Country
Club. She served as a Director-at-Large with the WTCNCC and is completing her
term as the 2006 WTCNCC Vice President. She plays on USTA adult and senior teams
and during the winter she plays in the USTA mixed doubles league. "Through
the WTCNCC I’ve become involved with the Special Olympics Summer Games
and my fondest and proudest moment on the tennis court is when my Special Olympic
Partner hits the wining shot for our Unified Doubles match – nothing beats
that feeling of knowing that I’ve helped her achieve her goal. I feel that
the WTC is responsible for most of my involvement in the Delaware tennis community
and am honored to be a part of such a great bunch of women. I hope to follow
through with the goals that have been established by the Board and to keep the
WTC one of the best tennis organization to belong to in the area."
