2011 Executive Board

President: Cindy Beach
Cindy has lived in Delaware for 15 years with her husband and 2 children. She currently participates in 2 WTC winter team tennis contracts at HIT, 3 mixed USTA teams, a deltri league and a couple other tennis contracts at BRC. She also plays on the Bellevue Cup team and several USTA women’s teams during the summer. Cindy had the thrill of participating in the 3.5 Senior Nationals in 2009. Cindy has been the Winter Team Tennis Coordinator for the past 5 years.

Vice President/President-elect: Cheryl Heiks
Cheryl is a Delaware native and learned to play tennis at DuPont Country Club in Middle School.  She rediscovered the sport in her mid-thirties and has played in USTA leagues, WTT, WTC summer league, and the Bellevue Cup team.  Her work as a lobbyist/funding advocate in Dover, keeps her on the road a good deal but she finds time to play at both HIT and BRC, and her volunteer work with the MS Society and Delaware Greenway. Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband Jack, daughters Libby and Britt and her Shelties.  She has participated with WTCNCC this year as Member-at-Large and the organizer of the 2010 Turkey Challenge event

Secretary: Jackie McCleary
Jackie McCleary has mainly lived in Glen Mills, PA since she was 7 years old and lived in Wilmington, DE her first year of married life. She worked for Advanta in Wilmington, DE for 24 years; but this past year is now with Weichert Realtors in Chadds Ford. She currently plays on two USTA teams DE & PA, WTC winter team contract, friends contract at BRC, and an indoor league at Granite Run. Jackie has 2 children, Shannon and Michael and her husband Mike. Jackie brings her many years of corporate experience and her love of tennis to the board and held the Secretary position in 2010.

Kathy lived her first 22 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since marrying her husband, Rob, 31 years ago, she’s lived in 10 different locations. She played some tennis recreationally growing up and in college. She gave it up to raise her 3 children. She started playing competitively for the first time when she moved to Delaware almost 3 years ago. After enjoying playing at the Fun Day in 2008, she joined WTCNCC. She also plays on a Bellevue Cup Team and two USTA leagues.

Gina Klempa
Gina has lived in North Wilmington all her life.  She started playing tennis two years ago on a USTA team and has also participated in Summer and Fall Leagues with the WTCNCC.  She will be working on coordinating the Winter Tennis program for the coming year. 

Eve Wan
Eve learned to play tennis with Licky Randolph 7 years ago. She joined USTA league competition in the spring of 2007 and really started enjoying and getting into tennis. She has been captaining a 3.0 USTA adult team for the past three years. Eve joined WTC at a Fun Day event in 2008, and has participated in summer league as well as winter contract at HIT. Late 2009, Eve started volunteering work with WTC winter tennis.
